The Ultimate Spring Bucket List

You can almost tasteeee the longer days, warmer weather, and the allergies entering your system. Spring is just around the corner and after a long cold winter, I think we all deserve a beautiful spring.

Creating bucket lists is one of my favorite ways to celebrate the changes in season, and life is always worth celebrating. It’s a fun way to set the vibe and get excited about things to come! I don’t think spring has ever gotten as much love as the other seasons – fall and winter are super aesthetic and cozy; summer is all about fun and the beach; but spring… spring is a quieter transition. You almost miss the arrival of spring if you don’t look for it.

I’ve written a lot before about intention and romanticizing life. A season change is a huge opportunity to live intentionally and romanticize everything!

I hope you lean into spring and all that comes with this new season! Celebrate it intentionally and find ways to make it feel like spring even if it doesn’t actually feel like spring, if you know what I mean? I’ve crafted a spring bucket list to get you started.

‘The Ultimate Spring Bucket List’ is one to pull from. As a serial bucket list creator, I like using my lists as menus rather than MUST DOs, to alleviate some of the pressure and keep things fun.

Outings:

Head out and about to see what is going on in your city or town. One place to start is instagram. I’ll be if you type in your city’s name on instagram, you’ll find a few accounts that list different things to do or specific events happening that week. It’s a great way to find new things to do and stay in the know about what’s going on (concerts, games, festivals, etc.). But here are a few specific ideas:

  • Take a class that sounds interesting: pottery, candle-making, paint & sip, etc.
  • Go thrifting (after spring cleaning out your closet).
  • Plan a fancy dinner out with friends and dress up in bright colors or pastels.
  • Go to a silent book club in your city.
  • Take yourself on a date to a free museum.

Outdoor Activities:

The crowning jewel of the spring bucket lists has to be the outdoor activities section. I get that some places might be a little chilly still but we’re thawing! Try to get outside a few times this spring, as the sun starts setting later. Some ideas for you:

  • Take a weekend or day trip somewhere warm for Spring Break.
  • Go to a farmer’s market.
  • Go on a bike ride.
  • Start a garden or buy a plant for your home.
  • Go strawberry (or any berry) picking.
  • Visit a local park or garden.
  • Read outside.
  • Attend a local outdoor sporting event.
  • Have a picnic in the yard with friends.
  • Take a day trip to the lake or beach, even if it’s too cold to swim.
  • Go for a walk on a route you’ve never taken.
  • Take photos of flowers.
  • Host or attend a bonfire.

Personal Growth:

What’s a bucket list without your own personal section? Every season we get a little older but also a little wiser and a little better. Here are some ways to improve your mental and physical well being AND to foster your own personal growth:

  • List out your goals for the spring season.
  • Make a vision board for spring.
  • Try a workout class you have never done before.
  • Set a new screen time limit on just 1 app.
  • Call 1 friend or family member you haven’t talked to in a while.

In the Home

Last but not least, we have an at home spring bucket list. Spring is my favorite time to freshen up my space. It’s time to put away the chunky blankets and cozy candles and replace them with lighter things:

  • Clean out old clothing from the dressers and closet.
  • Deep clean the floors.
  • Switch out blankets and pillows with springy colors.
  • Add spring scented candles or air fresheners.
  • Switch to a spring fragrance.
  • Host a charcuterie night with spring cocktails.
  • Clean out your nightstand.
  • Decorate for spring using lighter blankets, throw pillows, and flowers.

And of course, the ultimate spring bucket list item is to make your own spring bucket list. Feel free to pull from this one – but it’s not all encompassing. As spring arrives, the world around us seems to open up; it’s so important that we open ourselves as well too: to love, to others, to experiences, to forgiveness.

Embrace it <3
