September Recap

September was good to me. I’m sure I’ve mentioned more than once, I really love the month of September. There is no change of months that is quite as drastic as the change from August to September. Maybe December to January but that is a post for a later date 🙂 I usually journal my months but let’s do a little recap in photos!

HIGHLIGHTS

Halloween Horror Nights. This year we went with the Rush of Fear Pass, which allowed us to attend HHN any night of the week starting August 29th all the way through September 21st. This ended up being plenty for us because the event can get exhausting, repetitive, and expensive. I do always love the vibes and it’s an Orlando must-do! We especially enjoyed the WWE house and the Gálkn house.

My cousin came to town! My cousin Katie and her husband took an RV trip from Pennsylvania all the way to Florida and luckily, they stayed in Orlando for a couple of nights. We explored some Halloween themed bars in downtown Orlando, and another night, we visited Mo at Sebastian’s Bistro (Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort). It was a great time seeing them. They’re so fun!

Pilates and walks around town. Pilates is pretty much always a part of my monthly recap. The studio I attend is just such an immersive experience that it feels like it has to be included as an “event” that I partook in. I almost always go with some of my girlfriends and we have the best time. In addition to pilates and my regular gym trips, Mo and I got to do lots of walks together and sometimes with friends. Our favorite spots are Baldwin Park, FL and the Orlando Urban Trail.

MONTHLY FAVORITES

Tanologist Self Tan Drops. I just love being tan, but with school starting up, I am rarely outside for more than 10 minutes at a time. The tanologist medium tan drops are perfect for me and add a natural glow to my face without making me look orange.

Pumpkin Spice. I’ve started adding a little sprinkle of pumpkin spice to my morning coffee because I can! It adds a little bit of novelty and joy to my morning and costs next to nothing.

Early Nights & Early Mornings. I’m still trying to become a morning workout person. This month, though, I did get up for a 6am workout class a couple of times. While mainly I workout after school, I definitely have started going into bed earlier this month and it feels oh so good!

Stranger Things. So Mo and I started rewatching Stranger Things in preparation for the new season. I forgot just how good this series is. We started by playing it in the background during our weekends when we are doing chores around the house but it always draws us in and we end up on the couch! We’ve successfully made it to season 4 and we cannot wait for season 5!

Date Yourself Instead podcast. Lyss Boss is amazing. I’m in a relationship, so I don’t listen as much to the episodes about letting go during breakups and such, but she has so much more to offer!!! It’s basically a self love and self worth podcast and I cannot recommend it enough. I always listen while I’m in the shower.

So that’s my recap! The month seems to have stretched on forever but I’m so blessed with all of the fun and visitors that I’ve had. I hope your September has been fulfilling and fun too. As always, I can’t wait to see what adventures next month brings. xo
